Circuit Level Electronics
Circuit Level Electronics began life as an alarm installation business in June of 1988 under the rather tedious name of G & D Positive Action Security.
There were initially two partners with a vision to develop and manufacture a supervised wireless security system to rival what was available at that time. Installation work was to be our ‘Bread and butter ” to fund this dream.
In 1989 a third partner joined the business for a short period heading up the sales side and we became an incorporated private company in October. Development of the wireless system was slow and difficult as the install and service business grew.
In 1993 with the development of an access control codepad ( Code 80 ) for the electronic security industry, Circuit level was officially registered as a trading name for our R&D and manufacturing arm of the company. The moderate success of this product led to opportunities to design and build a variety of alarm system products such as Night Arm Stations, Key Switch plates, radio interface to BUS products, power supplies and smoke detector products.
In 1996 Greg Curry became sole director of the now incorporated Circuit Level Electronics ( Aust) Pty Ltd after the departure of his business partner. The business has to this day remained wholly owned by Greg and Family.
1998 proved to be probably the most important year in the development of Circuit Level into a fully viable venture, with the design and manufacture of an RF alarm system arming product kit for the Hills NX Series alarm panels.
For the next 10 years we produced thousands of these kits to be installed in homes and businesses all over Australia and New Zealand .
Our workforce increased to up to 8 employees at times during this period. In August of 2008 production of this kit ceased.
With the advent of the 2000 Sydney Olympics we were subcontracted to build cable assemblies for special purpose cameras for the Television broadcast, an interesting and rewarding distraction from our usual production.
Circuit Level prides itself on ” Going the extra mile ” for our customers. We are open to looking at any potentially profitable idea, and helping develop, and hopefully making it locally. We envisage being here” Manufacturing in Australia for Australians ” for many years to come.
With the services of talented engineers we have designed and manufactured many different products for the security, swimming pool , auto electrical and home automation industries.
In 2004 we embarked on developing a range of biometric products which were patented by the client.
In 2008 we developed a RF interface for Bosch and commenced supplying products to them and distributors of Bosch security systems. This has evolved into development and manufacture of a Touch screen keypad and premium keyfob to suit other Bosch RF receivers.
Other developments in 2009 included a monitoring product for portable defibrillators, an RF signal strength meter for monitoring interference and a new four channel receiver with expanded features.
In 2012 we revised and improved our range of Duress/ Products. Development of the Touch Classic keypad began and ran through 2014 to the Touch SDI2 and continues to this day. 2014 saw the design and production of an 8 Channel louvred roof control system for fitting by electricians.
2017 saw the updating of several of our popular products and introduction of another power supply and various small interface modules.
We today still produce many products for the alarm and access control market with a focus on RF products such as remote controls, transmitters, receivers, alarm system interfaces for Bosch Solution(TM) panels and associated modules.
